MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 23rd-ranked West Virginia University women’s gymnastics team travels to Pittsburgh for a three-team meet with James Madison on Tuesday, March 7, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Fitzgerald Field House.
West Virginia (11-6) will be competing on three day’s rest for the only time this season, as the meet marks the second of three meets against Pitt (10-6) in a seven-day span.
The Mountaineers and the Panthers placed second and third, respectively, at North Carolina on Saturday with a score of 194.075 and Pitt’s season-high 193.5. Pitt will travel to the WVU Coliseum on Friday, March 10, at 7 p.m. for a three-team meet to complete the busy week for both teams.
West Virginia is seeking its first win against an opponent competing in its home gym (0-5), as the Mountaineers are 5-6 this year on the road averaging a 192.14 team score.
