Men's Swimming: Marmolejo Qualifies for NCAA Final

ATLANTA, Ga. – West Virginia University swimmer Pablo Marmolejo qualified for the NCAA Championship finals in the 200 fly on Saturday, March 25, at the Georgia Tech Aquatics Center in Atlanta, Ga.
Marmolejo, a sophomore from Mexico City, Mexico finished the race with a time of 1:46.18 in the preliminaries. His finish was good enough for 13th place and sends him to tonight’s finals.
The 400 relay team comprised of senior Chris Hagedorn, freshman Andrew Langenfeld, junior Kyle Williams and sophomore Nick Delic finished 19th with a time of 2:58.08 but did not qualify for the finals.
The Mountaineers have garnered 12 total team points thus far at this year’s championships, which is the most ever in West Virginia history. Marmolejo will look to add more as he competes in tonight’s finals set to begin at 7 p.m.
