MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women's tennis team hits the road to face No. 69 Marshall on Friday, March 3, at 4 p.m. in Huntington, W.Va.
The Mountaineers (3-4, 2-0 BIG EAST) are coming off their second straight BIG EAST win of the season against Pitt, 6-1, on Sunday, Feb. 26.
"We look forward to the challenge of playing a very strong Marshall program," head coach Dan Silverstein said. " I know our girls are excited about another opportunity to compete against a nationally ranked team."
The match-up against the Herd marks the third meeting against a nationally ranked team for the Mountaineers this season, having played No. 18 William and Mary and No. 57 East Tennessee State.
West Virginia enters the match with a 20-7-0 advantage against Marshall, but the Herd won the last meeting in 2001.
