Gymnastics: 12 Named EAGL All-Academic

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A total of 12 members of the West Virginia University gymnastics team were named to the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) All-Academic Team, released by EAGL officials on Monday.
In order to be named to the EAGL All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the two previous semesters. Freshmen are also eligible if they earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester.
Juniors Aimee Brown and Janáe Cox earned recognition for the third time in their careers, while junior Amie Bouchier and sophomores Jaime Gold, Rachel Hardin, Margaret Ann Moore and Kara Weaver garnered their second all-academic team selections.
First-time honorees from West Virginia include senior Alyssa DeSantis, juniors Cheryl Goldenfield and Sabrina Noonan, sophomore Katie McGregor and freshman Erica Watson.
