Gymnastics: Tri-Meet Sunday vs. UNH, W&M

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University gymnastics team welcomes No. 25 New Hampshire and William & Mary to the WVU Coliseum on Sunday, Feb. 26, for a three-team meet beginning at 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers (7-5) enter the meet as the second-best team in the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) with a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 191.835. New Hampshire (9-3) is the league’s top team sporting an RQS of 192.515.
William & Mary (5-9), a member of the ECAC, enters the meet with a season average score of 186.19.
West Virginia is competing in its third home meet of the season, while the Mountaineers have faced a total of seven ranked teams in their first four road meets this year, amassing a 2-5 record.
The Mountaineers lead the EAGL on the uneven bars as their bars team is ranked 21st in the nation with an RQS of 48.33. New Hampshire holds the top RQS in the league on the three other events, including 48.48 on vault, 47.955 on beam, and 48.045 on floor.
WVU junior Janáe Cox looks to tie the school record for career all-around scores of 39.0 or higher as she enters Sunday’s meet with 23.
