STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The West Virginia University indoor track team sits in eighth place with 19 points after day one of the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup on Friday, Feb. 10, in State College, Pa.
Junior Jessica Czaikowski edged Villanova’s Monique Morgan to win the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.33, while freshman Jamillah Nock was able to qualify for the BIG EAST championships with a qualifying time of 8.98.

WVU’s DMR team has qualified for nationals each of the last seven seasons, which is the second longest streak in the country behind Georgetown.
“With the BIG EAST being next week, I’m very pleased with how we did tonight,” head coach Jeff Huntoon said. “Considering this is the first time we have ran our DMR in a meet, they ran well too.”
Day two of the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup starts at 11 a.m. with the women’s high jump.
