Men's Soccer: Two Named Academic All-District

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University men’s soccer players Matt Anstey and Paul Cunningham have been named to the NSCAA/adidas honorable mention all-east region team.
Anstey battled through injuries during his senior season to start 13 of 20 matches played in for the Mountaineers. The Canberra, Australia, native recorded one assist on the season and ends his season playing in 79 career matches, the second most in school history. A finance major, Anstey holds a 3.42 GPA.
Cunningham also fought through injuries in 2006 to become a starter on a WVU back line that allowed just 15 goals all season long. The New Plymouth, New Zealand, native started 15 of 17 matches played in, recording two goals on the year. A finance major, Cunningham sports a 3.45 GPA.
