MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University swimming and diving team will host Maryland in a dual meet on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. in the WVU Natatorium.
This will be the second meeting between the teams in two weeks. The Mountaineers traveled to College Park, Md. on Nov. 16-18 and took first in the Terrapin Cup Invitational. WVU set a total of 17 school records over the weekend.
Both the men’s and women’s squad are off to great starts this season. The men (4-0, 1-0) are currently ranked 20th on Swimming World Magazine’s Dual Meet Top 25 Poll. The women (3-2, 0-1) have made strides this year and are on pace to outperform last year’s squad.
The Mountaineers will have a month off from competition after this weekend’s meet. The team will next take to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 6, when they travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., to take on BIG EAST foe Pitt. The meet will be held at Trees Pool and is set to begin at 11 a.m.
