Swimming: WVU Opens BIG EAST Season at Louisville

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University swimming and diving team will kick-off BIG EAST competition against the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. in Louisville, Ky.
The Mountaineers are coming off a very successful meet against Penn State University. The women’s squad (0-1) broke two school records in the defeat (146.5-96.5) while the men (1-0) defeated PSU handedly, 137-104.
The team is looking to make a splash in the BIG EAST standings this season. The men’s squad finished 3rd at the BIG EAST Championship last season. The women secured 8th place. Both teams expect to improve upon last season’s standings.
The Mountaineers will next travel to Huntington, W.Va., and take on the Thundering Herd of Marshall on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 12:30 p.m
