Volleyball: WVU Travels to Seton Hall

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team will travel to South Orange, N.J., to take on BIG EAST opponent Seton Hall at Noon on Saturday, Oct. 28.
West Virginia (2-24, 1-8) enters Saturday’s match after a 0-3 loss to Duquesne on Wednesday, Oct. 25. WVU’s Abby Tevis, an outside hitter, led the Mountaineers with 12 kills, 14 digs and 12.5 points against the Dukes. Middle blocker Lisa Hough recorded three blocks and six kills while setter Kailee Goold totaled 28 assists. Tevis leads the Mountaineer attack this season with 3.37 kills per game. Hough adds .76 blocks per game while Goold contributes 9.04 assists per game.
Seton Hall (13-11, 2-6) is coming off a 0-3 loss to fellow BIG EAST opponent Louisville on Sunday, Oct. 22. Libero Allie Matters led the Pirates with 15 kills, 13 digs and 15 points against the Cardinals while middle blocker Tricia Meyers contributed two blocks. This season Matters leads SHU’s attack with 3.63 kills per game while setter Brittany Rahrer contributes 12.58 assists per game.
The Mountaineers lead the all-time series with the Pirates 13-6.
