Gymnastics: Gold & Blue Meet on Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s gymnastics team will begin its 2006 season with the Gold & Blue intrasquad meet on Saturday, Jan. 7, at the WVU Coliseum beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
The meet will consist of the team’s 17 gymnasts competing on all four events with a panel of local celebrity judges choosing the best routines between the Gold and the Blue squads.
The Mountaineers, who have qualified for the postseason in 27 of the last 28 years, will begin regular-season competition on Friday, Jan. 13, at Auburn, and will not return to the WVU Coliseum until a Jan. 28 meet against North Carolina State.
