Volleyball: WVU Set for BIG EAST Road Trip

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University volleyball team will travel to face two BIG EAST opponents this weekend. The Mountaineers will take on Georgetown on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. and then travel to meet South Florida on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m.
West Virginia (10-5, 0-2) looks to bounce back after falling to Rutgers on Sept. 23 and Villanova on Sept. 25 in its first two BIG EAST matches. Georgetown (5-9, 1-1) is coming off its first BIG EAST win of the season against Marquette on Sept. 25. South Florida (1-9, 0-2) has claimed its only win of the season against UCF.
Senior Stephanie Zolna currently leads the Mountaineers with 234 kills on the season. She has moved into fourth place on the all-time career kills list at WVU with 1,285. Junior Aurora Ebert-Santos leads the Mountaineer defense with 315 digs this season, with a career-high 38 coming last weekend against Rutgers.
