MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University's women's basketball contest at St. John's originally scheduled for Saturday, January 28, has been moved to Sunday, January 29, and will now be played in Madison Square Garden.
The contest, the Mountaineer women's first in the "world's most famous arena," will be a true double-header with the WVU men who will also take on the Red Storm.
"This is a great opportunity for our program and our players," WVU coach Mike Carey said. "That said, our purpose is to go to New York and win a basketball game and our focus must be on that."
Times for the double-header will be announced at a later date.
