Women's Soccer: Weekly Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s soccer team retained its spot among the nation’s 25 best squads for the week of September 12.
The Mountaineers (3-3-0, 0-1-0) maintained their No. 20 spot in the coaches poll, but fell to No. 25 in the SoccerBuzz rankings after a 1-1-0 showing last weekend at the Nike Invitational. West Virginia is not ranked in this week’s Soccer America poll.
Seven of West Virginia 2005 opponents are either ranked or receiving votes this week: Portland (No.2/3), Virginia (No.12/12), Connecticut (No.16/18), Marquette (No. 17/23), William & Mary (RV/RV) Dayton (RV/RV) and Tennessee (NR/RV).
Also announced today was West Virginia freshman Krystle Kallman’s selection to the BIG EAST honor roll for the week. The Woodbury, Minn, native notched the first assist of her young career in WVU’s 1-0 win over Washington on Friday, Sept. 9.
The Mountaineers continue their five-match road trip with matches at Richmond and William & Mary this weekend. West Virginia plays at Richmond on Friday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m., and at William & Mary on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m.
