Cross Country: WVU Places Fourth at Hoya Invite

THE PLAINS, Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team opened the season with a fourth place finish at the Hoya Invitational Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Great Meadows Event Center in The Plains, Va.
Michigan captured the meet with a team score of 17 points.
Senior Susan Davis led the Mountaineers with a ninth place finish. Davis finished the race with a time of 17:55 -- 41 seconds off the leader. Nicole Dorinzi and Nicole Lemal followed up Davis with finishes of 32nd and 34th, respectively, for the Mountaineers.
WVU returns to the trail Saturday, Sept. 17, to run in the Lock Haven Invitational in Lock Haven, Pa.
