MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's basketball coach John Beilein announced today that freshman Brad Byerson has decided to transfer.
Byerson, a 6-7 forward from Colonial Heights, Va., played in 13 games this past season. He averaged 0.5 points, 0.8 rebounds and 2.8 minutes per game. He scored a basket in three non-conference games and totaled a career-high five rebounds against Radford in his rookie season.
"Brad is a fine young man who was making great progress in both the classroom and on the floor,” says Beilein. "We were surprised by his decision to transfer at this time but wish him well."
