STORRS, Conn. – West Virginia University’s baseball doubleheader with Connecticut on Saturday has been postponed due to thunderstorms and heavy wind in the Storrs area.
The Mountaineers and Huskies were scheduled for a three-game series at J.O. Christian Field this weekend. A doubleheader, originally slated for today, has been moved to Sunday, April 3, beginning at noon. The series’ third game will be played on Monday, the scheduled rain day, with a time to be determined.
WVU won two of three games last year in Storrs to close out the season. West Virginia holds the all-time series lead over UConn with a 15-11 advantage.
