Women's Soccer: WVU Continues Spring Season

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women’s soccer team continues its spring season on Saturday, April 2, when it plays host to the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center Soccer Invitational at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium and the WVU practice field.
The tournament begins at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday and concludes with the final match at 4:00 p.m. Matches are 40 minutes in length.
Five collegiate teams, including the Mountaineers, and three club squads make up the tournament field.
West Virginia will face Duquesne at 11:00 a.m., Virginia Tech at 12:40 p.m. and Bethesda (Md.) Eclipse at 2:20 p.m.
On Sunday, April 3, the Mountaineers will also play host to a four-versus-four small-sided tournament beginning at 10 a.m. Teams will consist of three local youth or adult players and one member of the Mountaineer women’s soccer team. All money raised will be donated to raise breast cancer awareness.
The Mountaineers will close out the home portion of their spring season on Saturday, April 9, when they play host to Purdue at 2:00 p.m., on the WVU practice field.
