Women's Basketball: WVU Hosts St. John's

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- WVU's women's basketball team plays host to St. John's, Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum.
The contest will be broadcast live on College Sports Television (CSTV) and will air on tape delay on WVFX Fox 14 in Clarksburg.
The Mountaineers (12-8, 3-6) are 10-3 all-time against St. John's including a perfect 5-0 at the WVU Coliseum against the Red Storm. St. John's has won one contest in Morgantown, a 61-55 victory against the Mountaineers at Morgantown High School in 2000. That year the Coliseum was undergoing asbestos removal.
St. John's (16-5, 5-5) is fresh off its win at nationally ranked Boston College, 69-52, on Saturday. The Red Storm have won two straight contests and three of its last five.
St. John's is paced by sophomore guard Kia Wright who averages 15.1 points per contest. Fellow sophomore Angela Clark averages 12.3 points per game and a team-best 8.0 rebounds per contest.
WVU is led by sophomore guard Meg Bulger and her BIG EAST leading 20.3 points per contest. Senior point guard Yolanda Paige averages 9.3 assists per contest, tops in the nation.
