MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's basketball team will host BIG EAST foe Providence on Wednesday at the WVU Coliseum. The game, carried by ESPN Classic as a "retro" broadcast, will tip at 8:00 p.m.
Embracing the retro thread, Mountaineer fans are encouraged to dig out their late 70s and early 80s clothing and wear it to the game. A fan with the best retro outfit will receive an Atari video game system, courtesy of Best Buy. In addition, there will be many more contests and retro music played throughout the game.
Tickets are on sale at the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME. This game is a Dairy Mart High Five promotion. Fans can stop by any Morgantown Dairy Mart to pick up a coupon for $5 admission into the game.
Please note that the time of the game has changed. Originally slated for a 7 p.m. start, the two teams will now tip at 8 p.m. Jim Simpson and Ernie DiGregorio will call the game for ESPN Classic.
