Men's Basketball: Herber Earns Academic Honor

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's basketball junior Johannes Herber has been named to the 2004-05 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II men's basketball first team as selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
It is the second straight year Herber has earned district first-team honors. He was then named a third-team Academic All-American in 2004, the lone sophomore to make any of the three teams.
A political science major with a 4.0 GPA, Herber has started every game of his career at West Virginia. This year, Herber is averaging 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He ranks 13th all-time in career assists at WVU with 282.
Herber, a native of Darmstadt, Germany, is now a candidate for Academic All-American honors.
