Women's Soccer: Cicchini Honored By SoccerBuzz

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University women's soccer freshman Amanda Cicchini has been named a freshman All-American by SoccerBuzz.

An Oakville, Ontario, native, Cicchini was named to the online magazine's freshman All-America second team for her play during the 2005 season.

A center midfielder, Cicchini started every match during her rookie campaign for the Mountaineers helping them to their sixth-straight NCAA tournament.

Cicchini, who has seen time with the full Canadian national team, also earned second team all-BIG EAST and all-region honors from both SoccerBuzz and the NSCAA.
