MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University senior Julie Hockenson became the second player in school history to earn all-BIG EAST recognition when she was named second team all-conference at the pre-championship banquet on Thursday, Nov. 17, in Louisville, Ky.
Hockenson, a native of Garden Valley, Calif., is the second Mountaineer to make an all-conference team with Alison Zemanksi being the first in 2004.
The senior middle blocker finished the season with 302 kills and an attack percentage of .261. She recorded 25 service aces, 88 digs and 116 blocks. Hockenson's kill total was the second highest on the team while her attack percentage and block total were tops for the squad.
