MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Sophomore Kailee Goold of the West Virginia University volleyball team has been named to the District Two ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District first team announced November 10, 2005.
Goold, a native of Avon Lake, Ohio, now advances to the national ballot with her first team distinction. The setter holds a 3.9 GPA with a double major in political science and history. She is a member of WVU's Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll and a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
She is currently sixth in assists in a single season with 1,076, averaging 10.87 per game. She has complied 17 double-doubles thus far and was named to the Akron Early Bird Invitational and WVU Classic all-tournament teams earlier this season.
