MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The West Virginia University coaching staff has selected its award winners for outstanding play in the Virginia Tech game.
Offensive Champions - STEVE SLATON and DAN MOZES; Defensive Champion - KEVIN MCLEE; Special Teams Champion - PHIL BRADY; Offensive Scout Champion - SAM MORRONE; Defensive Scout Champion - KEVIN BURKE; Special Teams Scout Champion - TOM CONTRAGUERRO; Hammer Award - none.
The 4-1 Mountaineers visit Rutgers for a noon game Saturday; that game will be televised as the BIG EAST game of the week.
