Women's Tennis: Lyskawa Falls at ITA Regional

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Monica Lyskawa of the West Virginia University women's tennis team was defeated at the ITA Eastern Regional Tournament by No. 14 Marienne Baker (6-2,6-1) of Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 23, in West Point, N.Y.
"Monica made it to the round of 32 and I believe it is the best we have done in about five years," head coach Dan Silverstein said. "Monica has a great future and I look forward to watch her bounce back from this loss at Penn Sate."
Lyskawa's record on the weekend was 1-1 after having a bye in the first round and defeating Olivia Fleszar of Deleware.
The Mountaineers will wrap up its fall season at the Penn State Invite Nov. 11-12, in State College, Pa.
