WEST POINT, N.Y. – The West Virginia University women’s tennis duo of senior Raynie Theis and Stacey Percival were defeated by the No. 9 pair from Harvard at the ITA Eastern Regional in West Point, N.Y., on Sunday, Oct. 23.
In what was a tight match, Mukundan-Peterzan of Harvard capitalized late to win 8-5.
“It was a well fought match, but Harvard was able to come up with big shots and big points,” head coach Dan Silverstein said. “Raynie and Stacey had a great performance against a top 20 team.”
The remaining Mountaineer competing is sophomore Monica Lyskawa who is playing in the singles tournament.
