Volleyball: WVU Victorious over Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The West Virginia University volleyball team came out with a victory over Youngstown State by a score of 3-1 (22-30, 30-26, 30-28, 30-26) on Tuesday, Oct. 18 in Youngstown, Ohio.
Senior Julie Hockenson led the Mountaineers (14-8, 2-5 BIG EAST) with 16 kills, followed by sophomore Abby Tevis who came off the bench to give West Virginia 12 kills.
Sophomore Kailee Goold had her 15th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 46 assists and she continues to pace the West Virginia offense. Junior Aurora Ebert-Santos continues to dominate the defense for the Mountaineers as she had 22 digs.
West Virginia continues its road trip as they face Cincinnati on Friday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in Cincinnati, Ohio.
