MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University baseball coach Greg Van Zant announced the addition of Jimmy Rhodes to the 2005 baseball roster.
Rhodes returns to his home state of West Virginia after three collegiate seasons at Oklahoma State University. Rhodes, a Shepherdstown, W.Va., native joined the team at mid-semester and will challenge for a spot in the starting rotation this spring.
“We are very excited with the addition of Jimmy Rhodes to this baseball team for the upcoming season,” says Van Zant. “He brings big-game experience to our pitching staff after three successful seasons in the Big 12 at Oklahoma State. He is working hard at regaining his pre-injury form and his final season should be a positive one with West Virginia.”
