Rifle: WVU Returns to Action Friday vs. Huskers

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team will compete in its first match in two months on Friday, Jan. 14, when it travels to Palmyra, Pa., for a neutral site match versus Nebraska.
The Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) match against the Cornhuskers will be West Virginia’s first match since Nov. 14 when the Mountaineers defeated Texas Christian at home in an air rifle only match, 2307-2210.
West Virginia (1-3, 0-2) last competed in a GARC match and fired smallbore on Nov. 13 with a one-point loss to Mississippi, 4575-4574, in Morgantown.
Nebraska (5-1, 2-1) is also returning to action after a long layoff. The Cornhuskers’ last match was on Dec. 6 with a win over Mississippi, 4661-4579.
