MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - After going 1-1-0 in last week's matches, the West Virginia University women's soccer team has fallen in the latest women's soccer rankings.
The Mountaineers (8-2-0, 2-1-0) are ranked No. 20 in this week's SoccerBuzz and Soccer America slates.
West Virginia the 24th-ranked team in the NSCAA/adidas poll.
Dating back to Sept. 23, 2002, WVU has now been in the national Top 25 for 26 consecutive weeks.
West Virginia returns to action on Friday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., when it plays host to No.1 Notre Dame at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The Mountaineers will then play host to Syracuse on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m., as part of Super Soccer Sunday.
