Women's Soccer: Kane Named ECAC Player of Week

MORGANTOWN, W.VA. - West Virginia University women's soccer forward Laura Kane has earned her second player of the week honor.
Kane, a Pottstown, Pa., native, was recently named the ECAC player of the week for her efforts in last weekend's matches against Providence and Boston College.
On Friday, Sept. 17, Kane led the Mountaineers to a 4-1 win over the Friars by tallying the game-winning goal and adding an assist in a 2:30 timespan. Against Boston College on Sunday, Sept. 19, she added West Virginia's insurance goal in the 2-0 shutout of the Eagles.
Kane was also named BIG EAST offensive player of the week.
For the season, Kane is second on the team with 12 points (4G, 4A).
Kane will lead the Mountaineers against Villanova on Friday, Sept. 24, in a 7 p.m., match at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
