MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women's soccer player Laura Kane has been named BIG EAST offensive player of the week for her efforts in two conference games over the weekend.
Kane registered three points in a two minute span at Providence on Sept. 17, including the game-winning goal in the Mountaineers’ 4-1 victory.
In the second conference game of the weekend, the Pottstown, Pa., native netted another goal, guiding West Virginia to a 2-0 win over Boston College on Sept. 19, in Boston.
The honor is Kane’s third career BIG EAST offensive player of the week accolade.
The Mountaineers, winners of four straight, return to action against conference-rival Villanova on Friday, Sept. 24. Kickoff at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
