Women's Soccer: WVU Climbs in Polls

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women's soccer team climbed three spots in every major soccer poll this week.
The Mountaineers (5-1-0) are now 13th-ranked in both the NSCAA/adidas and SoccerBuzz polls. Those rankings are the highest for West Virginia in 2004.
In the Soccer America poll, WVU moved up from No. 21 to No. 18 for the week of September 14.
West Virginia has now been ranked in the national Top 25 for 24 consecutive weeks dating back to September 23, 2002.
The Mountaineers open BIG EAST play this weekend with two road matches. West Virginia faces Providence on Friday, Sept. 17, at 4 p.m., at Glay Field, and Boston College at 1 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the BC Soccer Complex.
