MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Special guest Scott Wilkins of Morgantown helped the MSNsportsNET.com team to a 10-under par 61 at Wednesday afternoon’s Betty Puskar Futures Pro-Am scramble at the Pines Country Club.
Wilkins’ team birdied holes one, two, four, five and six before an hour rain delay stopped play. When action resumed, Wilkins’ team made three consecutive pars to finish the front nine with a five-under-par 30. The five-some birdied the 404-yard par-four 10th, and added birdies at 12, 13, 14 and 15 to finish with their 61.
Wilkins was joined by MSN basketball radio analyst Jay Jacobs, WVU athletic department equipment manager Bubba Schmidt, athletic department director of Internet services John Antonik and Futures tour professional Caroline Goasguen.
Scott was randomly selected from more than 200 entrants who signed up for a chance to play in the scramble through MSNsportsNET.com.
This is the fourth year MSNsportsNET.com has invited a guest to play in the event.
