Baseball: Five Home Games Remaining

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team closes out its 2004 home season with two non-conference series at Hawley Field. The Mountaineers will battle Kent State in a two-game series and East Tennessee State in a three-game series.
WVU hosts Mid-American Conference member Kent State (26-21, 10-8 MAC) during mid-week play on Tuesday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 12. The 30th and 31st meeting between the two teams will take place at 7:05 p.m. on both nights. The Golden Flashes have one game tonight in Cleveland, Ohio, before traveling to Morgantown tomorrow.
Later in the week, the Mountaineers welcome East Tennessee State of the Southern Conference (25-23, 14-13 SoCon) for three games. On Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14, the teams continue night play with first pitch slated for 7:05 p.m. WVU’s final home game of the season is slated for 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 15.
West Virginia (18-26, 8-15 BIG EAST) then closes out the season with four road contests next week, one contest at Akron and a three-game series at Connecticut.
