MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia University freshman guard Meg Bulger has been named a Young All-American by Gballmag.com.
Bulger, a Pittsburgh, native, and the 2004 BIG EAST freshman of the year, is one of 10 freshmen from around the nation named to the inaugural team and averaged 10.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in 26 games coming off the bench this past season for the Mountaineers.
"It's an honor well-deserved," WVU coach Mike Carey says. "Without a doubt she was one of the best freshmen in the country."
Joining Bulger on the Young All-American team are: Jessica Davenport, Ohio State; Jessica Dickson, South Florida; Kate Gearlds, Purdue; Janese Hardrick, Georgia; Tiffany Jackson, Texas; Camille Little, North Carolina; Armintie Price, Mississippi; Noelle Quinn, UCLA; and Alesha Robertson, Texas Tech.
