Baseball: WVU Travels to Duquesne

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a non-conference game against Duquesne at Rooney Field, on Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m.
The Mountaineers (11-21, 3-10) are coming off a series win over BIG EAST foe Villanova. WVU is led offensively by outfielder Stan Posluszny. The sophomore is batting .337 with four home runs and 23 RBI.
The Dukes (12-16, 5-5) are coming off a series loss to Atlantic 10 member Xavier. Pacing Duquesne’s offensive attack in their last outing was Dan Schwartzbauer.
Schwartzbauer was 3-for-4 with three runs scored while Mike Grecco and Pete Maropis each homered and combined for five RBI.
Last season, the Mountaineers defeated the Dukes in two regular season contests. West Virginia leads the all-time series against Duquesne by a 62-7 margin.
WVU next travels to Virginia Tech and Georgetown this weekend, April 23-25, for a pair of BIG EAST doubleheaders.
