MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Pro Select League's Pittsburgh Riverhounds Wednesday night at Mountaineer Field.
Despite numerous scoring attempts in the first half the Mountaineers were kept out of the goal by the Riverhounds defense. Goalkeeper Nick Noble returned the favor for WVU, allowing no goals in 45 minutes of work in the first half.
Pittsburgh scored what would prove to be the winning goal in the 65th minute and then seal the match with another in the 80th minute on WVU's Adam Shutler.
The Mountaineers host their next scrimmage on April 7, at Mountaineer Field when they face Wheeling Jesuit. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
