Men's Soccer: WVU Falls to No. 23 Seton Hall

South Orange, N.J. - The West Virginia University men's soccer team lost on the road 1-0 to No. 23 Seton Hall Saturday, Oct. 9.
The two teams played to a scoreless first half with the Mountaineer offense unable to fire off shot, while the Pirates got off eight.
In the second half WVU (6-6-0) allowed only five shots on goalkeeper Nick Noble, however, Seton Hall (7-4-1) turned one of those chances into the game winner.In the 63rd minute junior midfielder Matt Zotti banged home his second goal of the season from eight yards out.
The Mountaineers turned on the offensive power after the goal but were unable to answer. Pirate goalkeeper Ian Joyce turned away several good shots in the last minutes of the match to secure his first shutout of the season.
Despite the loss Noble turned in one of his most productive games of his career, making six saves.
The Mountaineers return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 13, when the hit the road again to face Robert Morris at 3:30 p.m.
