Morgantown, W.Va. - The West Virginia University men's soccer team travels to South Orange, N.J., this weekend to face No. 23 Seton Hall on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m.
The Mountaineers (6-5-0) are coming off of a 3-0 victory over Longwood on Sunday, Oct. 3. Freshman Dan Stratford scored all three goals for WVU in a span of 12 minutes. Stratford currently leads the team in goals (5) and points (11).
The win over the Lancers secured the Mountaineers best record since 1999.
The Pirates (6-4-1) will be looking to end a two game skid. Seton Hall lost a pair of BIG EAST road matches to Pittsburgh and Boston College, dropping them to sixth place in the conference.
Last year in Morgantown the Pirates gave WVU its worst loss of the season, beating the Mountaineers 5-2. Seton Hall leads the overall series 7-2-0.
The match against Seton Hall begins WVU's longest stretch of matches away from home in 2004. The Mountaineers face Robert Morris on Oct. 13, and Providence on Oct. 16, before returning home on Oct. 23, for a match against Villanova.
