MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia (6-1, 2-0) visits Rutgers (4-3, 0-2) for a noon Big East game on Saturday, Oct. 30, at Rutgers Stadium in Piscataway, N.J. ESPN Regional (Dave Sims and John Congemi) will provide the television broadcast as the Big East game of the week.

West Virginia took a charter flight from Clarksburg to Newark on Friday in time for an afternoon workout at Rutgers.
Here is Saturday’s Countdown to Kickoff:
10 – Last Thursday’s 27-6 victory over Syracuse marked the 34th time in the last 15 years West Virginia’s defense has held its opponent to TEN points or less. It was also the second time the defense has done that this season (45-10 win over James Madison)
9 – West Virginia wide receiver Chris Henry has caught NINE touchdown passes so far this year, just two behind Purdue’s Taylor Stubblefield with 11 as the most in the country.
8 – West Virginia has an EIGHT-game Big East conference winning streak heading into Saturday’s game against Rutgers. The last time the Mountaineers lost to a league foe came last year at Miami.
7 – After SEVEN games last year, West Virginia was 3-4 averaging 207 yards per game rushing. This year through SEVEN games the Mountaineers are 6-1 and are averaging 260.9 yards per game on the ground.
6 – Senior kicker Brad Cooper has moved into SIXTH place on the WVU career list in both extra points made (75) and extra points attempted (77). Cooper is 18 of 27 for his career in field goals attempted.
5 – West Virginia’s rushing offense ranks FIFTH in the country this week averaging 263 yards per game. Last Thursday night against Syracuse West Virginia ran for 279 yards.
4 – Sophomore tailback Jason Colson has run for more than 100 yards in a game FOUR times for his career now after producing a career-high 118 yards against Syracuse last Thursday night. Colson has also topped the 100-yard mark against Central Florida and Connecticut.
3 – In quarterback Rasheed Marshall’s last THREE games he has rushed for 271 yards and scored a touchdown.
2 – TWO different Mountaineer players have collected TWO interceptions in a game this season. Pac-Man Jones did it against Maryland and Mike Lorello turned the trick against Connecticut.
1 – A total of 38 West Virginia players have at lease ONE game’s worth of starting experience heading into Saturday’s game against Rutgrs.
