MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - For the 29th-straight week, the West Virginia University women’s soccer team finds itself ranked among the nation’s Top 25.
After closing out the regular season with a 1-1-0 week, the Mountaineers (14-4-0, 7-3-0) fell slightly in all three polls, but still remain in the Top 25.
This week’s high-ranking is No. 22 by Soccer America. West Virginia is ranked 25th by the NSCAA/adidas and No. 23 by SoccerBuzz.
West Virginia is back in action on Sunday, Oct. 31, for the quarterfinal of the 2004 BIG EAST tournament. The match will be played at 1 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The opponent will be announced Thursday morning, following the Georgetown at Pitt match that was rescheduled due to weather for Wednesday, Oct. 27.
