MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s track team is set to take part in the National Open on Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in State College, Pa.
The Mountaineers will look to build on the momentum they have created through the early portion of the indoor season. West Virginia, ranked 19th nationally in the recent trackwire.com track and field poll, closed out competition last weekend with five top-five finishes and twelve top-ten efforts while scoring seven BIG EAST indoor championship qualifying times at the Virginia Tech Invitational.
This weekend’s events are expected to begin at 5:30 p.m., with the last event set for 9 p.m. on Friday. Action is projected to start again at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday with the last event of the meet set for 6:35 p.m.
