Women's Soccer: Weekly Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Spurred by a key victory at Connecticut and a shutout at Yale this past weekend, the West Virginia University women's soccer team has climbed into the Top 10 of every major poll this week.
The Mountaineers jumped six spots in the current NSCAA rankings, moving up from No.15 to No.9.
West Virginia is currently the No.7 team in the nation according to Soccer America, tying the highest ranking ever in that publication's poll. Last season, the Mountaineers were ranked seventh in country the week of November 4.
In the latest SoccerBuzz slate, West Virginia is ranked 10th.
The Mountaineers return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m., when they play host to non-conference foe Binghamton at the Mountaineeer Soccer Complex.
