Women's Soccer: Weekly Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - With a 1-1 weekend record, the West Virginia University women's soccer team remained steady in the nation's Top 25 polls released late Monday.
The preseason No.18 in the NSCAA poll, the Mountaineers jumped one spot to No.17 in this week's rankings.
WVU also moved up one notch in the Soccer America poll. WVU is ranked No.10 for the week of Sept. 1.
SoccerBuzz tabbed the Mountaineers 16th, dropping WVU from its preseason spot of eight.
West Virginia opened its season with a narrow 1-0 loss at No.10 Virginia on Saturday, Aug. 30, and defeated Michigan State 2-1 at the Mountaineer Soccer Complex on Monday, Sept. 1.
The Mountaineers return to action on Friday, Sept. 5, against New Hampshire at 5 p.m., in the first round of the JMU/Comfort Inn Invitational hosted by James Madison.
