MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Laura Baker of WCHS-TV 8 in Charleston has joined Mountaineer Magazine and will serve as co-host for the 2003 season, MSN executive producer Mike Parsons announced today.
Baker is replacing veteran Mountaineer Magazine co-host Natalie Tennant, who is taking a leave of absence from the show to pursue a career in politics.
Baker was hired as part of the WCHS Eyewitness News team in 1998 after graduating from the University of West Florida, where she majored in communications.
Baker is currently the co-host of WCHS’ widely popular Good Morning West Virginia along with Jason Nicholas. A Florida native, she lived in Parkesburg for two years before joining WCHS.
Baker will join Tony Caridi on the season premiere of Mountaineer Magazine this weekend in markets throughout West Virginia.
“I’m really looking forward to the 2003 football season,” says Baker. “It’s great to be a part of the excitement with Mountaineer Magazine.”
