MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – In recognition of former athletes the West Virginia University Varsity Club weekend will take place Sept. 12-13, according to Varsity Club Coordinator Donnie Young.
The weekend will begin on Friday afternoon with the eighth annual Varsity Club golf tournament at the Pines Country Club. The afternoon four-person scramble tournament is $85 per golfer. Dinner and awards immediately follow golf.
On Saturday, the Varsity Club will hold a Cincinnati pre-game tent party beginning at 9:30 am located in the grassy area in front of the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility. At 10 am, the West Virginia University Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2003 will be inducted inside the Caperton Indoor Facility.
These events provide a great opportunity for former athletes to meet with teammates, friends, coaches and other WVU athletic staff members.
