Track: Team Travels to Columbus

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University track and field team will travel to Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, April 5, for the Ohio State Relays at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, with events beginning at 11 am.
Teams attending the meet are Ohio State, Miami (Ohio), Purdue, Malone, Ashland and Dayton.
"This should be a good meet to assess where a lot of people are, which will help us make alot of decisions in the coming weeks," said head coach Jeff Huntoon. "It should also be good competition and we are looking forward to it."

Going into the meet, the Mountaineers boast 12 athletes in the BIG EAST top five.
Tara Struyk (10K) and Christine Brown (long jump) both hold the No.1 spot, while William White (100m) and Abraham Jones (long jump) both hold a No.2 ranking.

Following this weekend's meet, the Mountaineers will travel to the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn.
