Women's Tennis: WVU Set For Three

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (April 3, 2003) - The West Virginia University women's tennis team will host a trio of matches beginning with a conference match on Friday, April 4, against Rutgers at 12 p.m. On Saturday, April 5, the Mountaineers face Seton Hall at 1 p.m., and on Sunday, April 6, they close out the weekend against Robert Morris at 11 a.m.
"Rutgers will be our biggest match of the year," says coach Dan Silverstein. "This will determine if WVU or Rutgers goes to the conference tournament."
West Virginia enters the weekend with a record of 7-8 overall and 3-3 in the BIG EAST.
Rutgers is coming off its fourth BIG EAST win of the year over Syracuse. The Scarlet Knights are 4-2 in the conference and 8-6 overall.
Seton Hall lost its seventh straight match of the year over Syracuse and is 2-11 overall and 1-4 in the BIG EAST.
After a 7-0 loss to Pitt, Robert Morris enters the match against the Mountaineers 1-7 overall.
If inclement weather should arise, the matches will be moved to an indoor facility.
